The application is great. Β I don't know what you were thinking with the composition - putting the head way up there on such a tall canvas. Β (You can always crop it)

I was inspired by some traditional paintings by Sargent etc. In fact one of my main reference was a painting and I have used almost exact same composition. I didn't think it was a problem because almost every line is going straight to the focal point. But even if the composition is not good, I am just experimenting with it. Seeing what works and what doesn't. I'll get better at it eventually.Β

Consider that many of JSS's paintings where huge, with life-size figures standing eye-to-eye with the viewer, and calculated to seen this way. Β That is different from viewing on a screen or page, which simulates the distance used to view the work of, say, the Great Masters. Β
In any event, you can't go wrong by experimenting.
