We had Reggie's shotgun from the Phantasm series, the Lead Cannon from Duke Nukem Advanced, the Boneduster from Bulletstorm, the Fourth Horseman from Destiny 2, Doomstick from Killing Floor 2, and various other takes on the quadruple-barreled shotgun from Counter-Strike Online (Nexon's own take on Counter-Strike), Terraria, Gore: Ultimate Soldier, some Transformers movies and various OG Doom mods. The Banished arsenal could have so much more, so I wanted to do what could be Halo's take on that shotgun archetype which is almost criminally underrated IMO.Fanbio:
The Sarcum Workshop Breaching Gun or "Death Pillar" by various UNSC personnel, is a heavy anti-vehicle shotgun. The weapon is considerably overkill because of it's ability to tear even moderately armored infantry apart, thus making it best suited against vehicles. While break-action, the gun requires the "lever" below the four barrels to be pulled leftward then break the weapon open for new shells to be inserted, loaded using a cubical speedloader, the shells are 2-bore/2-gauge by human measurements and generally use frangible shots shaped like 4-sided dice. A Spartan may use the Death Pillar proficiently despite it's design beyond human practical perceptions.
A genuinely nasty "shotgun" favored by various Jiralhanae War Chieftains, even tank drivers must keep their distance from it and no closer than 10 feet.
