Description Today's special menue: Red lowland

I hate and love this picture. The problem is: I wanted to show some predators adapted to the colour of its habitat - so the lowland is red and their are red. But, because of that the contrast between background and the animals is really low and their hard to see, which makes the whole composition of the pic to one single red spot . . .

No matter, enjoy the creatures! I really love the predators!

The next days I'm on hiatus (cause I got a new job
I will upload the next pic at weekend (maybe earlier)

Next special menue: Orange Canyon!

I must admit, I haven't got a name for them . .
Lets call them: "Skrypes" (from "scary stripes", is that original?)

I tend to make my creature's names of their attributes, but in LATIN and THEN merge them.

For example, the PATARDUSCIS is an early plated fish-like creature that feeds off oily bacterial pools in the dirty water on planet ollimba. I took 3 words to describe it:

Plate, slug, fish.

Translate them into Latin:

Plate = patella
Slug = tardus
Fish = piscus

put 'em all together and you get a Patarduscis!

yeah, latin is although a great word source for inventing names
think, I have to use it more often!

I do agree the contrast is not vivid enough. But a 'Wunderbar' picture
