Description Project COLOR

Series: Haikyuu!!
Character: Kuroo Tetsurou

Why Tetsurou is part of the Project: INK & COLOR

Kuroo is a character I relate to in most occasions, as he loves to provoke people around him to see their reactions and study their behavior but never means any harm.

He is actually trustworthy and kind, and he obviously shows it only to people who he cares about. What I mostly appreciate about him is the background that showed his behavior towards his friends, in which we see a very mindful Kuroo when it comes to his best friend, as he knows what he likes and dislikes and therefore tries to never drag him in situations he knows the latter would be uncomfortable in.

As a captain, I really appreciated his ability to boost the morale of his teammates in most occasions, but mostly I loved the sportsmanship between him and all the other captains – from working hard after his promise to Daichi to play against each other at Nationals, to his wonderful friendship and collaboration with Koutarou during training camps. The latter two are definitely one of the best friendship couples in the anime and are my personal friendship goals with the people I love the most.

ABOUT PROJECT INK & COLOR

During the last couple of years, I've had a really rough time. I was diagnosed with severe depression, after months and months of struggling with it without even knowing I had it. Simple tasks such as getting out of bed every day became extremely hard, and I ended up abandoning all my projects and art because I just couldn't do it.

As soon as I got out of high school, I tried to get into an university, but after successfully passing the entrance exam, I completely broke down and was forced to take a year off. I tried to study for another field, one that I loved even more, but when I tried to get into the university a year later, I completely failed because I just wasn't getting better.

Every day is a challenge and all that remains of my old self is this little project.

A little project made of simple drawings with essential tools: ink, colored pencils and the cheapest watercolors. A little project where all the characters that somehow left something in me that I still cherish even after years.

Project INK creates new worlds for me when I need to escape this one.
Project COLOR brightens a dark mind full of dark thoughts.

They make it easier to bear.
