Thanks! I really admire and respect the work that the Saurian team is doing (and can't wait to play the game!), but as far as I know most hadrosaur researchers still use Edmontosaurus annectens?

Well, since I posted that comment I have changed my position about this. I mean: the differences used by the Saurian team to justify changing the genus are seen in animals belonging to the same genus (the skull of a brown bear ("Ursos arctos") is very different from a polar bear ("Ursus maritimus") skull. Same for lions and tigers).

There are less than 5 anatomical character differences between it and E. regalis. It's more similar to E. regalis than lions and tigers are to each other.

"may have been the largest of the hadrosaurs"
What about Shantungosaurus?

Edmontosaurus annectes awas around the same size as Shantungasaurus and Magnipaula, the three hadrosaurs are about the same size, there is no clear winner in size between the three.
