Ok first things first, I don't like the song (or the movie) all that much, the name is just a nickname my family has had for me since foreverI really wanted a regular pony for my ponysona, I used my childhood bedroom's color palette to design her, but now that I look at her she could easily pass as a rainbow dash x thunderlane next gen, oh welp.

She has a little of giraffe blood in her from her father's side which manifested in the form of a long ass tongue, an attribute she uses quite wisely
Natural hair and swollen eyes, she gets those a day after any crying session (or even if she sleeps too much), she uses tornados to dry her hair every 2 days to get it to stay straight
Everyone who has had the (misery) occasion of sharing a bed with CryBaby knows she's a weird sleeper, she can't sleep with her hair loose but it ends up all over her during the night anyway, and for a thin average mare she can easily take a queen sized cloud all for herself
Crybaby's cutie mark appeared a rainy afternoon when she was a fillie, her dad had promised he would visit that day but he cancelled out of the blue, causing her delicate 8 year-old emotional framework to wreck havoc, causing her to argue with her mother and ending up by locking herself up in her room to cry, and as she did when she didn't have anything else to do, she picked up paper and pencil and drew a breeze it was a nice drawing for an 8 year old but by no means a piece of art, but Crybaby loved the experience of creating and the warm feeling of making herself a friend for her times of sadness, she spend the whole night drawing and she hasn't stopped since

Your icon brought me in and this pretty girl made me fall for your art style fast! This sona is exquisite in both appearance and story, you did an absolutely fantastic job! The pastels work beautifully together against her darker fur, and they make her eyes pop so nicely!
I can definitely tell you put a lot of heart into her and it really paid off, and if you don't mind, I'd love to draw her for you once my to-do list clears up!

This is reeeeeaaalllly cute,how'd u get the idea of giraffe blood?was it your dads favorite animal? I too have a ponysona,but it's going through a lot of changes,the only thing that stays the same is her purple coat and being an alicorn,I also might change the backstory,but her hair is most difficult to sort out,I try to put a little brown in it cause ponysonas are basically you in a pony version...right?

Well the giraffe blood is because I naturally have a really long tongue in real life and the only other person in my family with a long tongue is my dad's sister, giraffes are associated with having long tongues so I just went with that. As of the colors a ponysona should have I really don't worry too much with that, my ponysona's color look nothing like me, I have light skin and plain dark brown hair, but it's because when you look at the show's ponies they don't look like people, there are barely any brown haired and light coated ponies in the show, or any brown coated and dark mained ones, colors that are natural in humans are not applied to ponies, ponies are multicolored and have a wide palette of colors in their coats and manes, so I just picked a palette I liked and went well with my personality and inner perception of myself and also found inspiration in the color palette of my childhood room

Why wait? if you try you might surprise yourself and if you don't end up liking it at least you'll know what you need to work on. and as for the song I prefer more defined beats in music maybe that's why, and although her artistic aesthetic is amazing I personally prefer Kali Uchis, she has beats, aesthetic, and an anxiety calming voice

i just want to do it really nice and its just that i want to make make it digital but i have never done digital before and as for the music i just really like her songs cuz it tells a story and if you look at her music video videos she puts a lot of thought into it even when you buy the cd its a story book also just she grew up just a few towns away from where i live so i understand her songs better cuz i have seen it growing up

Ooooh I WOULD LOVE THAT (fanart) and my initial thoughts remain about art, digital is though to get use to, but practice (and a lot of tutorials) are the best way to get better at it, and if you have a tablet (or even just an ipad, that's how I started), and kali uchis is Colombian/american (colombia borders the country I grew up on) so I guess we both go with the artists that reflect our own cultures the most (I don't know but I find that so cool)

yeah and melanie martinez is Hispanic too like me even tho i was born in NY my family is from Colombia and i really dont have the money for a table it that much and i am so busy with school right now the more drawing i ever do is doodles in class
