I found this Yosemite painting at a thrift store and I thought it needed a little something. I enjoy H.G. Wells classic novel The War of the Worlds, I have read it several dozen times, and I always think to myself, "where else could the Martian invaders have landed and what would they have done there?" Well, I answered that question by painting in tripods and hikers. If they landed in Yosemite, they would have fried hikers with their heat ray. I also have Cthulhu thrift store painting I did a while back; the link is here midnight-vanburen.deviantart.c…. The rock formation on the left is El Capitan; the one on the right is Half Dome. I climbed to the top of Half Dome the summer of 2000. It is, tripods or no tripods, a spectacular view.
