Here is another Dungeons & Dragons character I made!

Name: Ambrosia

Race: Dhampir

Class(es): Warlock

Subclass(es): Undead (Pact of the Chain)

Alignment: Neutral good

Background: Haunted One

Backstory: Ambrosia was born between a half-elf and a vampire lord in a chance encounter. She was raised in a quaint village by her mother, never knowing her father and unaware of her vampiric heritage. One day, while still quite young, her village was struck by a mysterious plague that quickly began killing everyone it crossed. Ambrosia watched friends and neighbors succumb to the plague, including her own mother. However, for whatever reason, she remained unharmed by the plague. As she mourned the loss of her village, the villagers suddenly began to rise up as undead and attacked her. She fled for her life into the nearby woods and managed to escape them. Ambrosia eventually collapsed from her wounds and exhaustion.

Before the dangers of the woods could claim her, Ambrosia was found by a vampire who had heard of the plague and came to investigate. To his surprise, he realized that the collapsed child was his daughter. Wanting to protect her but having too many dangerous enemies who would not hesitate to hurt her to get to him, he could not take her in and raise her in her mother's stead. Still wanting to be there for her, however, he decided to forge a pact with her as she rested to grant her some of his powers. To make sure she had someone to look after her, he summoned one of his servant to keep an eye on her for him. A raven named Azrael became her devoted familiar and vowed to protect his master's daughter. Her father left her on the edge of a town safe from the plague, not wanting to draw attention to himself but also wanting to make sure she was found safely and taken in somewhere safe.

When Ambrosia finally awoke, she was shocked to discover her newfound powers and by the presence of the strange raven. To her horror, however, she also awoke discover a great bloodlust. Horrified by what she had become, uncertain if it was the result of the plague or her new powers, desperately sought ways to control her bloodlust. With aid from Azrael, she took to wearing a plague doctor's mask and stuffing it with herbs that would help keep her calm and control her bloodlust. Fearful that people would despise her for what she had become, Ambrosia began wandering the lands while hiding her face. She wanted desperately know the truth behind her bloodlust and powers, as well as discover the truth behind the terrible plague that brought her village to ruin.
