Description Anyone remember my character Estanna? Well, here's an updated version of her! After some time finishing up the campaign she was in, I realized that I made some mistakes with that character and this is an improved design and build for her.

Name: Vessel

Race: Tiefling

Class(es): Sorcerer

Subclass(es): Divine Soul

Alignment: Lawful evil

Background: Haunted One

Backstory: Vessel's aasimar mother was abducted from the temple of her deity where she served as the head priestess by a cult that worshipped an evil deity. Vessel's father, the leader of the cult, forced her to conceive a child to be used as a vessel for their deity. Throughout her pregnancy, Vessel's mother prayed to her deity for salvation and to spare her child of the cult's evil intents. With the last bit of power she had left, her mother enchanted an amulet with her deity's symbol on it to protect and guide her child. Finally, Vessel was born and taken away from her mother, her mother soon after sacrificed to the evil deity. Vessel was abused and tortured throughout her life to prepare her for the day when she would become the vessel of the cult's deity. Despite her hardships, she could never forget her mother's prayers to her deity and a lullaby her mother used to sing, granting Vessel a sense of hope. She despised the cult she was born into and wished for nothing more than to take revenge on them for causing her and her mother so much misery. Some time before the ritual to fulfill her purpose and become the vessel of the cult's deity, Vessel managed to escape the cult. As much as she wanted to slaughter them all right then and there, she understood that she was nowhere strong enough to take them on and would require help. Vessel left the cult with a heavy heart, determined to one day return once she was stronger and seek out those who could aid her in her vengeance.

I really hope you guys like my character! I know how edgy she sounds, but that's kinda what I was going for when I first created her. I wanted to see if I could make the edgelord trope work and so I created Vessel. I would like her to have a redemption arc as she bonds with the party and learns to overcome her need for revenge. I love redemption arcs for characters who went through a dark past and believe themselves to be monsters, but turning out to actually be lovable, lost puppies who need hugs, a cozy blanket, and a nice, warm mug of hot chocolate. I did it once before, and I'd love to do it again!
