Description I drew this last night and forgot to post it. This was a quick little drawing I did of a robin, with focus on minimalism and simplicity.
There's not much to say here, this was quite a quick piece and more of a self-indulgence than anything. At the time, I was heavily leaning towards drawing some vent art, however instead I somehow found myself drawing this peaceful little thing and calming down instead. Honestly, I'm tempted to draw a series of things like this, simple animals with nearly empty backgrounds. I've found that if I sit down and draw something with a short time frame and simplicity in mind, especially animals, I find myself with very pleasing results and much more detail than I anticipated at the beginning.

I don't know Why I like this picture. But I do. I like it a lot.
Whether it's the simple yet accurate colors, or the wonderful lighting, I just adore it.

Very pretty. The colors are nice, and variation helps give the illusion of feathers. The softness of the strokes really helps set the tone. Almost peaceful. Good detail on the feet. Very nice, though a more detailed wood texture may have made this more effective. Lastly, I'm not sure if you implemented this here, but I don't think so. Using the rule of thirds and fifths really helps amp up the composition. Overall, good job. Keep up the good work.

This piece gives you a sense of relaxation and calmness. I can almost feel the softness the coloring gives off! I really like animals and am quite particular so I really do adore this cute picture. I've wanted to do art with backgrounds such as these or for another example (Kipper the Dog) but I just never really overstood how.

That's a really good method of just concentrating on one thing in a drawing (which I have trouble with), and I would really try it out sometime!
Also, I love how this turned out!

Thanks! It's something I learned when my little cousin asks me to draw things for her- I only have a short time to get it done, since she usually has to leave not long after, so after a while you get pretty decent at getting things like that done fairly quickly.
