love the colours and textures!!! paint does have it's uses lol, you should try gel medium w/your paint next time, gives an even awesome-r 3-D effect

OOH. describe to me this "gel-medium"

it's very thick and goopy, you mix it w/the paints and it builds the paint up so it sits visibly off the canvas, creating a noticeable 3D effect, the technique's called "impasto" ---> [link]

it's really fun, I did it in my painting I class freshmen year in college and it was awesome, I pretty much did a whole painting w/a set of palette knives

Ths is really cool and very origional. I love the contrast of the black with the colors and the textures. Is the textures from the paper, paint, or something else?

the grainy textures are from me gluing tracing paper to the board after i painted the treee. then when all the wrinkles formed i dry brushed them lightly with black to get the effect i wanted.

and thank you
