i'm very happy with how this turned out. i really didn't have a clue what i was doing the entire time. i just sort of went with it.i think i should do that more often.
and paint is really fucking FUN.

love the colours and textures!!! paint does have it's uses lol, you should try gel medium w/your paint next time, gives an even awesome-r 3-D effect

it's very thick and goopy, you mix it w/the paints and it builds the paint up so it sits visibly off the canvas, creating a noticeable 3D effect, the technique's called "impasto" ---> [link]

it's really fun, I did it in my painting I class freshmen year in college and it was awesome, I pretty much did a whole painting w/a set of palette knives

Ths is really cool and very origional.

the grainy textures are from me gluing tracing paper to the board after i painted the treee. then when all the wrinkles formed i dry brushed them lightly with black to get the effect i wanted.
