Gotta love Bog King, he is a brilliant character!This artwork was my attempt to practice digital painting. As his exoskeleton became far more "lush" compared to the withered look in the movie, I started to plan this little one shot story in my head where Bog would go through ecdysis (moulding). He hasn't been able to go through it in a long while since he has been too STRESSED OUT and hadn't had a chance to calm down.

This is absolutely stunning! I love how rich and lush the colors are, and the texture is just amazing. I can imagine just what it would feel like to reach into the picture and draw my fingertips along the woody texture of his cheek. He looks wonderfully fierce and regal with those intense bright eyes - the true King of the Dark Forest! You captured that fierce, otherworldly handsomeness of him so well. I love this. Thank you for sharing!

Great job! Nice idea on the moulting concept. One thing though...it looks like he could seriously impale someone with that nose!
