ah, Reba doesn't go round. And if you try, it turns into a big fight that ends with her being pissed at you for a week. She's just not physically built that way, I think. It's probably a big part of why she doesn't do well in this college riding program; people are always trying to make her go round, or really forward, or all sorts of stuff as they try to fit her, like a square peg, into a round hole. She's mad as a hornet at school, she just hates it. I hope to lease her again this summer and have a good time again. I guess I understand her limitations, and it's cool with me, and she ends up quite happy

Ah. Know the feeling.
Have you had a vet check her? I've had great luck with chiropractic stretches (you can do them on your own) to fix butt, back and poll problems. Horse goes from stiff board to round ball.
You sit well though and Reba looks pretty relaxed.

hehe. hence not picking on you for it my riding posture slips a lot more than it should, but my instructor always drilled into me that where you look is where you'll end up so dont look at the ground unless you want to be on it. she drilled A LOT of things into my head. i think she'd be horrified if she saw my posture in some of the shots that Jo's taken of me lately.

e gads, I'd hate riding if I was expected to act like I was riding an equitation class 24-7. There's no need to have perfect posture when you're not showing or practicing... there's time for just relaxing and having fun with horses too. (and btw, I won my equitation class )

congrats on the win!!! i know all about riding for fun, i've never been in a show my entire life, tho i've had many instructors ask me to try it. with 240 acres and hyper fun horses, i dont feel the need to drill myself. you've looked good in every showing pic i've seen of you showing keep it up
