Description
Kiera is my friend 's DnD characters mount, "Kiera". She is a Friesian Alicorn.Photomanipulation in Photoshop CS4. Took about 3 hours.

Edit: Gave Kiera a Spiral horn, so the credit has also been changed. Also upped the vibrancy on the image and added a black border.

It is very very pretty! Beautiful horse and photomanipulation.
I think the only thing that doesn't really fit is the background, that is 'detached', 'stranger' to the creature.

This was on my my first photomanips, and I can definitely see what you mean by it looks detached from the creature. Unfortunately I had a harddrive crash since this was made, so the PSD is lost to me and I can't rework it

That's an amazing manip. About as realistic as a Unises can look. You called it an Alicorn... uh... I don't know that term. Is that another term for a winged unicorn? Or is it specific to the celestial D&D origins of the mount?

lol indeed. XD No big, most people don't know there's ANY term for winged unicorns, let alone two! The one I use my dad taught me, it combines the words unicorn and pegasus.

I don't know of a really good, simply way of cutting images apart...One thing that helps though if I have a good, solid colored background (like the sky was) is to use the magic wand tool to select the background, and then feather it a bit. This softens the selection so when I delete it, it doesn't seem like such a harsh cut.
This one was mainly meticulous erasing at a very zoomed percentage!
