-Bio: Toby is an old-fashioned steam tram that is made of wood, has cowcatchers and side plates covering his wheels, and a bell instead of a whistle, and doesn't look like an ordinary steam locomotive at all. Despite his elderly age and design, he is still a useful steam tram that has a wise and hardworking temperament with a vast amount of knowledge and experience in running branchline operations, and there isn't even one thing he wouldn't forget, as it isn't worth knowing. He is usually kind and cheerful to everyone he meets, and he is always happy to help anyone in need, especially if its from somebody whom was rude to him. Though sometimes dealing with younger and modern engines who act all high and mighty (especially if they're inexperienced) can often test patience every now and again, and he can often be headstrong and argumentative when they start becoming difficult. But despite being strict and temperamental, he is always willing to forgive and help them start over when they admit they're wrong, and his work at Anopha Quarry can often help calm his moods down with any cause of grief to anyone, especially his faithful and confiding coach, Henrietta, who he cares for very much.

Toby is still a very a calm, peaceful and easy-going old engine with a good sense of humor, as he can come off very cheeky and snarky from time-to-time, especially if any of the bigger and more pompous engines can get too big for their wheels. His best friends are Thomas & Percy, as these three have a lot of fun together working on the Ffarqhaur Branchline, and he always would often worry about them when either can go too far with any rash choices they make. He is very loyal to his own family on the Northwestern Railway, especially with the Fat Controller, as these two have been best friends since he first met Toby as a little boy on his old tramway, and he would always count on him even he needs advice very now and again. Overall, Toby is highly respected amongst all the engines, as he still has great amount of wisdom and knowledge that can never be tampered with. He is always willing to share with anybody when they need him the most.

-Artist’s Commentary: Glad I got this out, but honestly, the lining on Toby's cowcatchers was really hard to align and space together. But overall, I am proud with what I did. I also would like to point out that yes, in terms of how I want to depict these characters, its a combo of there classic model series look, combined with their real life counterparts, and under Toby's cowcatchers the tip end is colored blue, as he will still be brown, but with chocolate brown frames, and the blue cowcatchers and side plates, just like in the RWS books, as I just feel it helps to give him more color that way. I honestly loved Toby as a child, and his sing-along song is also one of my favorites too. As far as story arcs in my series, will, I can't say I would, as being old and wise like Edward, that's kinda hard, so he will be in a counseling position to, especially when keeping peace between Thomas & Percy. Though unlike in the current series, no worries, Toby is and will always be a main character in my fanfic series, as let's face it, he is one of the original 7 engines, as they are the main characters in my series, as that's how I love it. With Thomas being the main protagonist, Edward, Gordon and Percy as the deuteragonists, and Henry, Toby, and James as the tritagonists of my series. As for what I will do with Emily, will, when I upload her soon, I'll let you know about that, but don't worry, I like her too, but I'm not really fond of the steam team that much as the next guy. But on top of that, Toby will still be a prominent character in my content, as I can't imagine a Thomas series without him, and there will still be plenty of moments focusing on the friendship he Thomas and Percy have, as they are a fan favorite trio like Gordon, Henry & James, and having these three together brings in so much nostalgia like in the Branchline engines story arc, Ghost Train, Woolly Bear, etc. So now that I have Toby up, that also means, I have the whole team (the original 7 engines) uploaded, and I'm sure you guys will figure out who's going to be next !
