Well, remember that the She-Wolf's wolf form was not at all designed with the word "sexy"--or even "female," really--in mind. It's up to Janet to bring the pretty--the wolf just brings the whoop-ass.

And hey, far be it for me to impose realism on a werewolf thing--it is a indeed a fantasy--which means it can be anything anyone wants, yeah? Otherwise, why make it a fantasy?

Fair enough. It's always been more about the the "before" and the actual process for me anyway. (I was actually pretty stunned--and a little disappointed when I learned that the savage She-Hulk was in essence a really tall, curvy green woman as opposed to the monstrous behomoth I'd come to expect from the word "Hulk." I've adjusted, of course.)

She could have done with being bigger... I think the "savage" part was exaggerated, really... I mean, she never really rampaged, about the worst she did was dent Buck's car.

I've said it before and I'll say it again--she was created before her time. Most of the comic industry was still following the generally rule that you simply don't draw female characters with any kind of muscle definition--and then you make a female hulk character? They needed to wait another decade or so when the envelope on content in superhero comics was really being pushed if they wanted a "savage" She-Hulk.

As I've read it, the move by Stan Lee to create her was a direct result of the Benny Hill shows She-Hulk like skit. So, really - more of a rush to copyright than anything. Which is a shame... Of course, if you look at Powergirl... she probably gets more flak for being on the beefy side than having ponderous breasts. Ah well... maybe one day?
