Thanks for the kind words about my work.
I've been learning Russian on and off for a few years. My wife is Russian, and her family doesn't speak English, so I'm trying to learn for them, but I'm still not very good. Also, I don't want her and our daughter to have a secret language I won't understand, haha!
I do like the language a lot yes, I think it's a very clever and kind language. And love parts of the country, vereniki with potato and smetana, the literature, art, warmth of the people as guests and hosts, how much family matters. But there's obviously other things in Russia not so good at the moment, yikes :S
And your English is just fine, don't worry about it!

Wow! That's very interesting. I think it's great that you learning the language for a reason. Family relationship - it's important. Especially when you from different country. And about secret language - you're right, hahah. But, you know, mother and doughter always have a secret language, even if you think that you understand it. You know, girls, hahah.
Russia - is a very beautiful country and our language is very kind, you're right. I love my country because I love our nature and old traditions since that time when we were still pagans. But people in this country doesn't understand how they do hurt nature. And how low they fall. I just hope that we have a good times someday.

Sorry it took me a while to reply!
Now my daughter is 10 months old, and I feel like she has a secret language with me as well, made up of strange grunting sounds. She's a lot of fun. But I'm pretty sure she will speak Russian before Danish!
I also have very mixed feelings about where I am from. I guess it's like that most places.

He actually stumbles upon those huge wrinkly heads all the time, hence the nonchalance.
The heads normally guides Ivan, but here it's screaming: You're going the wrong way, fool!
And the yellow color of his teeth is a deliberate choice, cuz it compliments the tone of his skin better, see?
