ok, so this was the original concept for my children's book story. it was supposed to be very theatrical and costumed, but seeing as how that may confuse people, i'm going to do the actual animals instead.i will have prints of this for anime fest though
, it may be more detailed if i get time.

why turn them into real animals? this would be refreshingly original compared to all those "cute anthropomorphic animal" stories out there... they're a dime a dozen. ^^''
I think that you should stick with this... perhaps you could just twiddle with their designs a bit more?

the story isn't too cute actually, its more like a a grimms fairytale over a simple story. my teacher said as long as i go with a very theater look, he said it may work, but the characters are too old as they are.

Though personally, I'd prefer something more Burtonesque or Dahlish. (just to coin a few adjectives of my own.)

Just awesome awesome awesome. Love the poses and expressions of each one and the character designs (probably my favorite part of the whole thing) and coloring.

its because the characters don't look childish enough, so i need to either make them more child like, or have the actual animals. it also may confuse children.

Maybe you should try making them more pudgy and round sort of in like *B1nd1 's style.
