HeLLo Guys,Today's deviation is a color study of the amazing Sara Tepes.
This time I tried something different...
In one of her tutorials Sara explains how she doesn't fully believe in the usefulness of "redrawing" an illustration made by another artist.
Although you learn for sure new techniques and perspectives, she believes that by practicing in this way
the originality element is strongly penalized. And that makes sense to me.
Her words made me decide to slightly modify my study method.
Now, I try to recreate the style of my favorite artists (more or less) but using an original character.
"Pearl", the protagonist of my new exercise based on the illustration by Sara Tepes called "Vinyl"
is the result of this new approach.
