Since I did not have time to make a card for the Dragon year earlier, I now made a Dragon teapot. This teapot has been bisqued (fired in the kiln) and is now awaiting glazing and final process.Pot and lid were thrown on the wheel, while dragon head, tail handle were hand built.
As my teacher has said, glazing makes or breaks a piece. So am hoping I will be lucky with the final glazing. My bamboo teapot was a success, it looks very nice in real life, after glazing.

I have just glazed it yesterday. I applied a clear, matte finish, so maybe it will look the same as seen here. However, I still hope for the best.

Yes I did some pots, and a frog,; many of my pots were broken in our mooving up:C but I stil got a few ones .

When I was in China, I saw a huge bronze statue with the dragon's head and the tortoise body. I was told the two animals represented power and long life. So I like that idea for my design. Thank you for your feedback, Sarah
