Inspiring stuff, wish I was doing studies at 14, instead I was drawing anime. :')

Thanks for putting this up!
It's very encouraging seeing someone else's progress.
This might be totally unfair but it also made me appreciate your work even more, because to be honest you weren't really that good in year one (well, you were 14, I was still tracing stuff at 14 hehehe). And now the quality of your work is awesome.
Very inspiring stuff man.

this is really inspiring but also like super daunting? I mean you did an imagineFX cover when you were 16? I gotta step up my game ;_;

I have a question! An important one!
I've watched several progress archives of various artists and none, NONE of them contained pictures about studying perspective. You rarely see horizontal line and vanishing points in their scetches and all that junk, especially in studying human body.
They say perspective is very important, and I still find puzzling to apply hard perspective measurment to some tricky human pose yet it seems as if most artists do not trouble themselves with such things, even while studying.
Soooo... hard perspective studies remain behind the stage and usualy are not put in these archives or am I missing something out?

Just went through everything, awesome to see all the progress, must say, your pencil drawings are pretty amazing. Really like them, and I can just imagine how awesome some of those could be if you made them into digital paintings.

Holy cow, this is somehow simultaneously super inspiring and morbidly depressing. You got so good so fast! It's super cool looking through the whole archive. Thanks for posting this.

Very inspiring man. I'm still at the beginning of the grind, but I look forward to the day where I can make an awesome progress pack like this too.

Hot damn, you truly have come a long, LONG way in just six short years. 8O
Seeing your progress is really encouraging!
And although seeing your progress does make me feel like a mere beginner, I'll have to keep in mind that I've been actively working on building my skills only half as long as you have so I've got only myself to blame for not being better. But gosh, now I feel like I really could do it if I put more effort into getting better!Β
But yes, man you're one skilled artist and I'm glad I've had the chance to follow your work the past couple of years and see how you've been growing as an artist. c: I can't wait to see how you'll progress in the future!

The thing that confuses me the most right now is probably lighting and anatomy. I picked up learning anatomy about a month ago or something and though I'm not completely oblivious anymore, there's just so much I don't know. Looking at your work it gives me the impression you really know the location of each muscle. ._. Also, gesture drawings are really hard for me to do for some reason.
Downloading the archive right now, by the way. Hopefully it'll inspire me! Sometimes I forget to look back but even in the little time I've been doing art, I have improved. And you've been doing this for six years. And me? 9 months. I should really try to understand that time does go into it. A lot of time. It's weird but whenever I learn something new it sort of feels like it just "clicks" to me instead of reading it somewhere.
