I love this interpertation. It's almost as if Atlas is breaking away from the heavens which he has been bound it and falling down to earth.

I greatly enjoy this very uncommon portrayal of Atlas. However, I have one question out of curiousity: Why is his hair thinning? That is all that I have to wonder about this wonder. It is an extraordinary piece and certainly has sparked my interest in the Greek and Roman myths again.
