A challange for WINDSONDE! ((an awesome group you should join!))

Todays challenge: One of Queen Tulkiina's braided-leather tail-bands has broken. She is very concerned that without four of them on her tail, she is out of balance with the god Balodius. Go to Grandesque, find a Samhradh to craft a new braided-leather band for you, and present it to the Queen.

((This is a somewhat of a response to Wyrd66’s wonderful deviation “Hello” where Elah and Thanh first met.  I hope you like it!))

Since the turtle festival, Elahs mom has become very strict. Instead of letting Elah use her time to go out and have fun with her friends, she has tasked Elah with a great variety of chores. Every day it was different, a particular task that would take all day. From cleaning the nest to hunting for a rare berry for the paints their family made. (It was her mothers own way of punishing her for playing with tookies.) Today it was something different today, today elah had to take a trip to find a braided-leather tail-band for Tulkiina. Elah laughed at the idea of being out of balance with the god Balodius, but her mother quickly smacked her saying it was no laughing matter. Her mother quickly shooed her out of the nest declaring loudly to the neighborhood could hear: “If you come back and I found out you went to go see your tookies, I will make sure you regret it!” Her mothers nasally voice could be heard for a good several yards, this made Elah fly faster.
Elah landed to walk a ways feeling annoyed to be doing her mothers work. She was so deep in thought that when she came across an odd gryphon upside down on a rock, it somewhat startled her. They had a stair down for what seemed like 10 minutes.
“HI!” the young gryphon chirped pushing a feather up into the air with his front paws. “Im Thanh! What’s your name?” Elah couldn’t help but smile, his attitude was an improvement to her day.
“Im Elah,” Elah said her mood already getting better. “What-cha doing?” She asked
“Oh nothing.” He said and flipped over onto his belly the feather he was playing with floated down and landed on his beak. “ You wanna play a game?”
Elah smiled “What kind of game should we play?”

After much discussion and laughter, they came up with a fun game: TOSS THE GORD! Together they brought two gords high into the sky, far above the skyline. Then once they got to the right altitude they tossed the gords to eatchother. If one of them didn’t catch it, he or she had to dive to catch them. Elah had so much fun she forgot what she was supposed to do for her mother.
Suddenly as the sun was setting Elah remembered what her job was for the day. Unfortunatly she remembered as Thanh tossed the gords to her. She missed the catch and dove for them. She caught them right before they hit the ground. She landed and sighed. She looked up at Thanh and said her good byes. She ran off toward Grandesque, hoping that she could see silly Thanh again sometime. But right now she was gritting her teeth knowing what was coming for her when she got home after getting this special braid. Her mother would not believe she made a real friend.

((8I ah.... I realised after looking at Thanhs picture that I made some mistakes in the painting.... for Elah and for Thanh... hopefully next time I will get it right.... T_T ))
