It was from the deluxe Blu-Ray set extras, a filming documentary called "Furious Gods". Yeah, he does kinda look like he's gonna eat somebody...
Looked like the the two guys playing Engineers, Ian Whyte (seen here) and John Lebar (the guy in the big chair during the Orrery scene in Prometheus) had a ball messing with the film crew and set photographers whenever they got the chance. Compared to the usual monster head/face makeup, being an Engineer wasn't too bad other than not rubbing the white color off. They almost look scarier in normal light walking around the set than they do in the movie.

Y'know, I really wish we could read all the rest of the comments on a lot of these deviations. The ones for this GIF are priceless on the movie discussion boards. For all the (really impressive!) grimacing, growling, and bellowing he does (love that voice) - this is the creepiest image. That said - does anyone have screencaps from different stages in this GIF? I get a kick out of his snaggly teeth - they give him a lot of character!
