Absolutely unreal - I tried for ages a while ago to get some lightning shots, but no success, my shutter doesn't stay open long enough. I would be very proud if I were you!

arr thanks yea the longest i can hold the shutter opened for on mine is 8 seconds . Just long enough. Still took about 20 odd pics to get this one.

I've tried so many times to photography lightning, but no matter what I do, I've never been able to successfully capture it :/

ahh, scary >.< i'm a pussy when it comes to things like that, but...I'd be out there snappin like 500 pictures just tryin to get a shot like that too! >.< but.. we just had a blizzard so idont think i'll be seeing that for a few days.. (nebraska weather so strange!!! LOL)

lol yeah it hard to walk away from somthing like that, well at least until lightning strikes a tree next door... Arr nebraska , sounds cold. I live on the north coast of NSW Australia, we get this weather alot.

arr spewing . We had another huge one lastnight but there was to much rain. And i was one my way home out in the bush from my dads , and car broke down. Ill look foward to seeing what u come up with

aww, That sucks you guys had too much rain though. I'm sorry that car broke down, that's never fun!
It looks like the weather around here is going to be partly cloudy for a while! So it maybe a long time before I get any storm pics.
