This stamp is for anyone who hates TobyxMavis, a ship that I am ashamed to admit I used to support.

Before I go over my thoughts on this ship, I just want to say that this is just my opinion and I'm not trying to attack anyone who supports this. I know there are going to be some people who disagree with me here and that's fine, but being rude to me and sending me hate comments/messages will NOT change my opinion.

So, why do people support this ship? Well, it comes down to three reasons:

Mavis rescued Toby from the tightrope bridge.
They're both square shape.
They both work at Ffarquhar Quarry.

I'm sorry, but I find all three reasons to be very shallow. I think it's very clear that Toby and Mavis have more of a mentor/student or even a father/daughter relationship. I mean, it has been said that Toby is old and it's said in Mavis' debut episode that she's young. Sure, she matured after Series 3, but there's still an age gap between the two and I can't overlook the fact that Toby was obviously a mentor to Mavis. Shipping them would be like shipping an old man with a young girl. That's why I find TobyxMavis to be the most cliche and underhated Thomas ship ever.

I much prefer Toby with Henrietta, and Mavis with Percy, Dennis or Salty.
