Griffin (The Invisible Man) overview
Griffin is a brilliant research scientist who discovers a formula that makes a human being invisible. The formula entails taking opium and another drug, which make his blood clear, then processing him in a radiator engine. It succeeds, but he finds himself unable to reverse the process.

Personality/Motivation: Mentally, Griffin is less than stable. He is short tempered and prone to fits of rage, smashing bottles, throwing chairs, and otherwise taking his frustrations out in a destructive manner. Eventually, these rages become almost homicidal in nature. He is also very self-centered and is only concerned with how he can benefit from his discoveries. He is quite willing to steal whatever he needs to try and further his own ends. As the story progresses, he becomes more and more of a megalomaniac bent, and dreams of starting a "Rein of Terror" which will result in his controlling all of England. Naturally, this has the local police rather interested in securing his capture.

Powers/Abilities: Permanently invisible, although this didn’t extend to his clothing, so if he wanted to make use of his powers, he had to do so naked, meaning he can only really use his ability to full advantage when the weather is reasonably warm. If it is raining, snowing or other wise inclement, he can be detected rather easily as a dim shape if splashed with mud, or snow, his form will be marked, at least until he can wipe the mud (or other material) away. Likewise any food ingested remains visible, at until properly digested, smoke, such as from a cigar or pipe, offers similar problems. He is also extremely strong, fighting off large groups of attackers several times. A tough, brutal fighter, severely injuring a number of opponents with only his hands and feet though it is unclear as to whether this is a side-effect of the invisibility process, or a result of his growing madness. Griffin is also very brilliant, and knowledge of a wide range of subjects. He has studied medicine, physics, chemistry, optics and a host of similar subjects.

Appearance: The Invisible Man’s described as being just about 6 feet in height, with a strong, muscular build. As Griffin is an albino, his hair is white and his eyes pinkish. Naturally, this will only become known if Griffin is cured of his condition, or he dies. Griffin's invisibility is a Distinctive Feature. When dressed to go out into public, he must cover himself completely, low slouch hat, high collared jacket, scarf, gloves, etc. Such an outfit will usually attract notice and comment, although most people simply speculate as to what terrible accident he must have been in to disfigure him so.
