Ah yes - official stock photo - guess, WE'VE DISMISSED THAT CLAIM
Combines turian, prothean and human *facepalm* features. Not pretty purple space elf, not completely scarry alien
I just sorry for my lack of fantasy, her face needs more interesting features :/Thanks a lot for inspiration to , pose for and the whole Mass Effect universe for being

quite nice, very alien, kind of reminiscent of the grays from the old pulp sci-fi comics and area 51.
not sure if tali would have such long hair though. if it was shorter then it would be outstanding. still ad leased its not some human with lines on her face and two missing fingers. i admire that you chose to go for a less, conventional design and more on the paranormal. again, the hair looks out of place.
i don't remember reading anywhere that quarians looked like humans so why most other artists try to make there's look like humans i don't know. if your goal was to design a original tali then you have certainly succeed. well done!
(wtf is it with long hair on quarians, there aliens who live in air tight suits for Christ sake)

One year ago I designed this Tali face and now I can say that I'll change it a bit. But it's a deed of a past - her face was the reflection of my own inner world. It's quite amazing thing - to imagine her face, it shows you what's hidden in artist mind
I agree with you about hair, it's needless and a bit dangerous thing in such suit. My goal was to show how we are different under masks and at the same time we are very common with every conscious creature - that's why I depicted alien face with human hair.

for some reason people seem to think tali should have long hair when it would be impossible in that suit.
personally, my idea tali is Calisto-Lynn's Quarian concept, its a perfect blend between human and alien.
your design is certainly more alien, while everyone wants tali to look like a human with lines on her face. so i commend you for acknowledging the fact that she is an alien

After all, there was a strong demand from fans for it.

Про лицо: в общем, во вселенной Mass Effect есть такой персонаж; всей расе приходится ходить в закрытых герметично скафандрах (долго объяснять, но суть ясна), соответственно, на рожах у них маски из темного стекла: [link] Вот пример. Мильярды споров рождались по поводу того, как должны выглядеть их лица, поэтому я все же решила сделать свой вариант))) ибо инопланетяне, которые выглядят как фиолетовые космические эльфы, мне совсем душу не грели))

Because they just have the same mirrored chemical composition on the DNA, not similar DNA strains.
They come from very different worlds.
And the Quarians already resemble Turians from a body frame point of view.
Anything beyond that is missinterpreting what being dextro is, or reading too much into what Grunt says about Quarians and Turians (which I've noticed is where a lot of missconceptions on these two races originates).
Emphasising Prothean traits I think it's fair came because Javik's comments regarding Tali's race have quite a bit of weight given his personality.

Your words seem logically relevant, but, unfortunately, you dig too deep for such setting like Mass Effect. Only existence of 95% humanlike asari, 90% humanlike quarians and many other species who have practically the same body structure as human, can cancel any deep argumentation concerning DNA and other biological\genetical issues.
It's cosmic opera, for common people with aliens with absolutely human behaviour; without detailed characters and cinematographic plot, ME series would've been a second-grade action games with doubtful and illusive variants of making choice.
I depicted Tali, because I wanted something my own, not badly photoshoped stock photo or purple space elves. It's only my imagination though.

Photoshop issue aside, I'm quite fond of the canonical quarians conceptually, and I'm happy that at least SOME other species in the galaxy evolved hair.

I noticed, practically every alien has no hair
Also it's very difficult to have hair in enviro-suit, perhaps they had to shave it or got very short haircut. Even in my variant of Tali - shoulder length hair is a great luxury.

Просто я хотела сделать ее необычной, чтобы по человеческим меркам она казалась не слишком красивой, но и не отталкивающей. Но чтобы этого было достаточно для того, чтобы поумерить пыл похотливых человеческих самцов, видящих в ней моделечку из журнала)

It's a possible alternate face (just my fantasy, because I can't imagine dextro-alien who looks like human with three fingers and shiny eyes), and most people can be scared at first look on her. She understands it and can see hidden emotions. Sad but true, we see Tali like pretty space elf, but the truth can't be so beautiful in my opinion.

To be honest I actually did not mind the use of a stock image for Tali's face, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't have preferred this. Just wow, she is simply stunning! I love the turian element (not that I love turians or anything lol) and how organically beautiful she is.
If only BioWare took a note from the fans eh? Awesome job!
