Description Although the kick to her groin was not as hard as it could have been, Blue reacts as Green expected her to: she instinctively turns away and covers up to prevent further abuse of her nether regions.  Green follows with the second and third 'dirty moves' that she owes her young opponent.  First she strikes her on the back of the head and neck with her forearm.  Like the kick, it isn't delivered with malice, but with precision.  The intent isn't to injure but to goad her into a reaction.  Blue flinches, jerking her head down and to her left and pitches forward slightly, attempting to roll with the blow.

Now Green moves with a quickness and agility that Blue didn't think she still had in her.  She reaches across Blue's face and grabs her left ear, using it to turn her opponent's head.  This move is also done with some care, because she knows that Blue will react to the sudden sensation and move towards it in order to keep Green from tearing her ear off.  Green isn't pulling hard enough to do any damage, but by gripping the ear tightly she makes Blue feel pain.  So she doesn't have to pull very hard because her panicked opponent will do most of the work.  She grabs Blue's swimsuit strap to gain some leverage and complete the action, which will result in Blue dropping to the mat on her back.  She will be unhurt, but the speed and viciousness of the assault will leave her stunned and confused long enough for Green to begin the next phase of her plan.

Technical Notes: Since November I've been drawing almost every day for at least an hour, and often two or three (and sometimes a few more).  I think I'm finally seeing some benefit from that, as both of these drawings came together fairly quickly.  I am sure that I'll find things wrong with them over time, but being able to get the poses I want with less effort feels great, especially since I did these without using references.

I continue to experiment with color, and I tried using it to make 'Blue' the focus of the images.  Her shading has more contrast and more saturated colors so that she really jumps to the front of the drawings.  'Green' is dulled and almost colorless, like the background.  I want the viewer to feel Blue's confusion as her worldview suddenly becomes a whirlwind of dull colors and shifting lights and shadows.  In a matter of seconds she has had control of the match (and of her opponent) jerked out from under her feet, and her mind is in that auto-pilot that happens when there's too much new information to process in one instant.  If I had a bit more confidence I might have blurred the background and her opponent's lines a bit to complete the effect.

You write an analysis of what's going on really brilliantly -and your big girls are very appealing, sexy. I just hope Miss Blue gets the chance to pay Ms Green back perhaps with a little breastwork...

Thank you for the kind words.  I think Blue would like very much to express her frustration by pummeling Green into unconsciousness, but she's only begun to learn how badly she underestimated the veteran wrestler.

Never count the old dog out of the fight til she lays down and dies...go miss Green!

I am glad you've decided to dedicate so much time to your art. Practice makes perfect. And so glad you have the confidence to share your work here. Almost anyone can do the 3D art...that's not to say it's easy and if you go through DA there are many great 3D artists that stand head and shoulders above the rest...most know who they are and I won't list names for fear of missing someone important and hurting their feelings, but for you to sit down with pencil and paper takes real skill and dedication. I think I told you once before I love the rawness to your images and I hope you take that in the flattering way it was meant to be. The images from "Bitter Rivals" really speak to me and if I were you I wouldn't look too hard to find things wrong with them. I think they're perfect just the way they are.

Thank you for the kind words.  Art is the one thing I have always been confident about, even during the long period when I just dabbled with it and my work was just awful.  I think that over-confidence is actually an important key to success.  A lot of successful people made it because they didn't realize how bad they were at something and so they kept at it until they got as good as they imagined they were.  My approach these days is to figure out what I think I can realistically achieve, and then set my sights much higher.  Even if I fall short of the goal, maybe I wind up getting further than I thought I could.

I am in awe of so many of the 3D artists here!  It takes quite a bit of work to get the figures to look right, then to work properly (joints especially) and then to get the pose right with one or more characters.  Then there is fabrics and hair and accessories and backgrounds.  Then there are the facial expressions.  Then finally the lighting and ambient colors.  And yet some artists produce work so realistic that sometimes I have to stare at an image for a few moments before I can decide if it's a photograph or not!  There is so much potential in that medium and it's great to watch so many of you as you get better and better at it.
