thanks so much!!
yeah i have a lot of problems with anatomy xDDDD; i only realize them after a while ;A;
as for the background, i totally got lazy and just literally used a giant brush and made blobs 8D;. but i don't understand what you mean by the 'wall with the same line was what i drew the figure in'...?

the circle-part of the wall the character is sitting on, the edge of it is outlined in the same kind of line as the kind you used to draw the character. Thats what I mean 'w'
And its okay if you got problems with anatomy. The human figure is so..crazy @@; and complicated!

Hiya! I'm from here to critique your picture! ^-^
Somethings I want you to take another look at are;
*The legs, as someone said, are too long compared to the body. When the average person brings thier knees all the way to thier body, the top of the knees generally reach just below the clavicals. On taller people they reach as high as mid-neck. Yours look like if we bent them in, would reach the middle of her nose! 0.0
*The arms, also someone mentioned they are too short. If you look at her arms-the upper arm is actually fine. The forearm is the problem. The wrist to the elbow should be about the length of her head. The hand is about the length of chin to the eyebrows. So her forearms are a bit too short. Also of mention-her hand position with the pencil is a bit weird. Her hand without the fingers shouldn't curve at all, and the fingers should be curled more towards the thumb to support the pencil.
*Next thing is the back-her position is possible but it hurts. The butt/lower back is sticking out and her upper back is curled. If her whole back had been curled, she would have looked more comfortable.
*Last note I wanted to say is the originality of this pic-I could have sworn I've seen this pic before except with a darker color scheme.... [link] is what it reminds me of. The color scheme in yours is different, and the pose is different. So I know the idea isn't that original, there was a new pose and a new take on it.
So I like this picture overall, the colors look good, the shading looks good. Minus the few anatomy details, this picture is great. I'd give it maybe....4/5 ^-^

Anatomy tricks are kinda my thing ^_^. Try using your own body for anatomy reference! Using proportions should be the same on all humans for the most part. ^_^ My favorite is the fact that your foot is usually the length of your forearm (minus the hand). I haven't met a person that this measurement didn't work on! ^_^ (Nor have I met a person that didn't try the first time they read/heard that ^_^)

omg, I have an old sketch just like this!!
It's a person in that same position, but they don't have anything, just looking out the window.

Awesome picture! I love the colors and the concept. The back might be a bit strange but I think its the arm that's holding the pencil. It looks like she's in a relaxed position but her shoulder's bent a bit too forwards. I guess you can either cut some of the back off or reposition the shoulder and a bit of the arm.
