What is really funny about the way Portugal wears his shirt is bc a lot of people (well, more like older people) wear it like that when the weather is hot! At least Im always seeing that on Algarve(Im portuguese)

As many others have said, I enjoyed that you added these characters and gave them your own artistic flare!

The class is full now! After the first sketches Himaruya made inspired by a muscular friend, always fancied Portugal as a worker (salesman, gardener, entrepreneur, cook ...)who is very sexy, but without any intention of being. *Β¬*
Beautiful drawing!

Oh thank you so much!!! That is exactly how I imagined him to be, very fit but doesn't really work out or do anything to look that way. I'm happy you like it!

If you like here's a translated version losthitsu.tumblr.com/post/6689β¦
I can't help to laugh at the whole missing buttons issue. Especially knowing how he likes to pay attention to his looks (most likely to look well for the ladies), independently of his economic level

Thank you! I had seen the translated version, but prefered to give the original source in case peopel would sometimes prefer it. I found it very funny too, but I personally hope himaruya doesn't mention or at least value economic aspects.

As a Portuguese myself, I really want to know what the whole button popping represented. Is related to the bad economy factor or the fact that the country has a hard time to move on from it's past due to nostalgia? Or am I simply thinking too hard.

OlÑ! I think the button doesn't have any real meaning, but is a stereotype Hima picked up on his portuguese friend. He wrote down sometime ago (images5.fanpop.com/image/photo⦠on these sketches, although I lost the translated version!) that his friend wore overly tight t shirts, so it might be that. I don't know for sure though, but it doesn't seem to me like it has too much meaning behind it, and since it was only one picture it might not be a reacurring thing, but I thought it was very funny so played along with it.

Ei cara! I'm glad to finally get a possible meaning to it as I was questioning myself about it all. And being Portuguese, I wondered if anybody I knew around me actually had this whole 'tight clothes' thing to them. So, I obviously tried connection the country's economy or nostalgia feeling to the case. Though, if that's the case. It's a nice lil gag and I can very well go with it.
So, thank you very much!Β
