Behold my shizzy storytelling as I attempt to share more about my characters
(Backstory subject to change due to plotholes and as I am not certain whether it's too cliche or complicated or not)

Itakura Satake (with the white hair) is a 21-year-old yakuza boss who leads a gang called the Shishimai. He truly doesn't like being a criminal, but once you're in the business, it's not easy getting out alive. He doesn't mind it too much, though, as shown through his antics and adventurous spirit--and, secretly, deep down he loves the power. He's a lot of fun, and though most people may think he's a fool by the way he acts at times, he's really quite cunning and capable.

Seven years before the current story, young Itakura Satake came home late one night to find his entire family of five shot to death, and the killer drunk and asleep on their couch. Satake, completely in shock and hardly even knowing what he's doing, takes the man's gun and shoots him in revenge. Turns out, the killer had been the boss of a yakuza gang gone on a random drunken rampage, and when the right-hand man finally finds his boss and the carnage, he takes pity on Satake and takes him in.

Then 3 years before the current story, when Satake is 18, the right-hand man who had taken him in has disappears, suddenly leaving Satake with the responsibility of running a criminal organization all by himself. He eventually does pretty well on his own, having learned many things from his former boss and surrogate father and having become experienced in the streets of Japan. He constantly searches for him even still, though, as he doesn't believe the man he once knew would just suddenly dump all of this on his shoulders for no reason.

Munakata Miyake is Satake's right-hand man and closest friend. He's a lot more serious than Satake, and constantly has to berate him for his sometimes-incorrigible behavior. The two are blood brothers, though, and Miyake would willingly protect Satake with his life if he has to.

Miyake's father was a single dad and a cop, killed in the line of duty in a run-in with the Shishimai yakuza. Miyake was taken in by a relative but had always sought to get revenge on the man who'd killed his father, and so when he's old enough to live on his own he searches out the leader of the Shishimai, who happened to be Satake by this time. Miyake confronts him and intends to kill Satake, but Satake reveals that he was the one who killed the former boss and Miyake's dad's killer. Sooo Miyake pledges his loyalty to Satake and becomes his right-hand man, and they become nearly inseparable.
