He looks quite inviting... its probably the curve of his lips or his eyes...

The angles to his face make him seems villainous and cold although his eyes and the warmth of the back round take away from that.
I love the detail in the lighting on his face, it adds to the feeling of rage and dismissal. Just as with the blood shot squinting of his eyes.
I cant really tell what he is thinking but I can tell you he seems out for vengeance or something quite like it, but he seems lacking that passion, that fire. Very distant and cold.
I enjoy the detail of this piece, very well done. It brought an image in my mind of the vampire Lestat, Burning rage without the fire.....
But all this pales to a more prominent question in my mind, is he wearing make up?
