Description PRINTS FOR SALE AT: [link]

The first colour music art piece - this is more of a Jackson Pollock type - letting the ink react to the motion of the piece of music - so while it may be messy and unclear in some ways, I feel it expresses a lot of energy that vibrated through the music... no. 1 of this type of 'music art' experiments...

I love the contrast in this piece. The way the energy of the black contrasts with the serenity of the background. Great job.

This is gorgeous, what are the mediums and the size of the paper/canvas

Thank you
It's about 900x600mm. I painted it with acrylics and ink

Brilliant!

I love the colours of all your artwork-- I especially love this piece though... What do you use to spin a piece of that size?

I did it for my mom - it's one of her favourites too I'm not sure what you mean by "spin a piece of that size"? It's on a deep-edged canvas that I bought from an art store.

This piece sorta brought the geekiness outta me cuz it reminds me of string theory. LOL Perhaps I should be asking if you know what the string theory is... other its kinda of a waste. LOL So do you?

minikikiart In reply to Blood-Banker-J [2009-05-13 06:59:24 +0000 UTC]

woah. Ok to be honest, I had never heard of string theory, but I went and did my research... and I think you're on to something! I actually want to explore it in more detail and see how it can influence my art. Funny you should say 'string' theory cos I used strings in this piece to pull the ink along the canvas! lol. So thank you for enlightening me on the subject

Really? I didnt thought you knew of the ink string technique! Ive seen some who uses a brush to create the same effect.

Not many people to my knowledge know of this theory too well neither cuz the
concept of string theory is quite complex. And youre welcome!

I just thought I place this link for you below since you said you want to further explore it. - figure itll be more convenient though Im not sure if youve check out this sight already.

One can say that art is the greatest revolutionist since it is a reflection of self. This demonstrates Im not just a brainless admirer... I use art to try & better understand the artist as well as myself, hoping that it will give me as well as others a new perspective.

Wow! So very vibrant! Full of life and energy! What music did you listen to while painting this? It has a great visual rhythm to it!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

minikikiart In reply to Daniel-Storm [2009-04-10 14:14:01 +0000 UTC]

Thank you I'm glad you can sense the energy! I was listening to the final theme from the movie August Rush - just put it on repeat and let the notes carry me away. I am enjoying this so much! Can't wait to start the next one! And even better, cos this is on canvas - not just paper like the others

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Daniel-Storm In reply to minikikiart [2009-04-10 14:18:22 +0000 UTC]

August Rush...i guess you mean the end scene where he conducts the orchestra in the park while his parents meet up there and watch him. That would be good music to paint by. It makes sense that your piece would be hooked up to music like that. And yes, painting on canvas gives me more of a sense of presence with my work than does the canvas paper. Looking forward to seeing the next one!

Have you been up my ...Wishing Tree? Tuh!

It's where I come to think and dream.

And now I'd like to show you my ...Wishing Tree. Jam on!

Where we can laugh and giggle and scream. Hee hee!

Imagination is the key.

Won't you imagine along with me?

We can be spacemen, or pirates on the sea. Chucka jam on!

Yes we can do everything, and I mean, everything! Chucka jam on!

Up in my Wishing Tree! Hee hee! Oooh!
