Modo and Piper's relationship eventually grew steady enough that they allowed themselves a peaceful moment to open up for each other. Not only are they sharing a couple of memories, but actually going deeper, getting to know each other on a more personal level. Every core memory, every significant experience that shaped each mouse is open for another.
Few of Modo's memories:
The fishing trip with his old man, the most fun and peaceful moment in his life.
The appreciation of all living beings, even the small ones.
The day when young Uncle Modo got to help his nephew with his first steps, strengthening his family values.
Piper's memories:
The day she saved her lethally wounded big brother. Since that day she made sure no life would be lost.
Piper's lovable and playful moments with her Pops, who always had time to goof with his favorite (and only) daughter.
Piper's beloved pet, the fluffiest Chunky Bunny in Mars. No worries, as much as she loved the hug it as tightly as possible, she learned to take care and be gentle with small creatures.

Felt like I really wanted to illustrate Martian telepathy idea, especially how important it is for couple bonding. The way I see it, telepathy can be used to show memories or images to other beings, such as when showing convenient flashbacks, ahem, I mean, memories from the past. A whole other thing is if you fully reveal yourself to potential partner, leaving yourself vulnerable and open like a book, letting the other know everything about you, your past, your emotions, your quirks and your true feelings towards the person you wish to bond with. However, once the trust has been tested and both still appreciate the true nature of their partner, the bond between two Mice becomes ever more stronger and valuable.

Practical notes: I thought I could practice something a bit more abstractive and sensual. Turned out to be a lot more harder task than I though, considering how complicated one's mind can be and how hard it is to illustrate it on a flat piece of paper. Honestly, I had to go through quite a lot of different scenarios and themes, having hard time to even pick a theme for the whole telepathy scene. Even a friend of mine helped me to come up with something a bit longer, almost 3-4 page comic snippet of the two walking across the other's mind at the same time, but considering what a big risk that would be for a simple idea, I was too afraid to take that route. As sad as it is, I only have so little time and the ideas just keep pouring in every time I'm hit with a good inspiration or What If -scenes.
Extra note: I hope the new designs for both of their casual clothing are now a bit better.
