Haha!Β I love the oversimplified interaction in this.Β Her expression is pleasing because one can see she hasn't given up hope, even though so far her life is shitty.Β Drudgery and duty.
Her dirty face and patched up clothes here contrast very plainly with the prim clean uniforms and clean laughing faces of the girls lucky enough to make it into the Imperial Navy's Ninth Armoured Brigade.
This contrast is my favorite thing.Β
A seed is planted.Β I can understand where she came from and what motivates her.Β Now all future pictures will be full of meaning.
She goes from a beast of burden to a Bad-ass deadly war girl.Β Willing to do anything her officers tell her.
Newly graduated bunnies probably LOVE their new uniforms, and wear them with pride.
I admire your inktober resolution!Β
Go Bunnies!

Following with interest to see how she becomes an expendable minion, blindly obeyingΒ orders from her superiors.

Yes. There are obvious differences between the typical life and the military life. That's why they always enjoy being Bunnies.
Suppressed suppressor is always a fantastic motif.
Wearing uniform is not only comfortable. It also brings identity and pride. That's irresistible to the Bunnies (and me!)Β

Interesting. This establishes that Bunnies were not born to serve as expendable sentries. They lived hard lives as normal people. Their lives as Bunnies are better... until an enemy comes into their lives and kills them.
