That's a seriously impressive original character design. So much detail, and so organic! It looks like the main character of a video game, and the weapon looks seriously cool as well. All you need now is a 3D platform game building engine and free time!

You've somehow managed to make him look adorable and dangerous and mischevious all at the same time! My favourite part has to be his little head-tentacles; they're just so borderline wacky and strange-sea-creature but with so much potential to be expressive, mobile and possibly even useful. Throw him at glass, he'll stick to it! He's part cuttlefish! Hit x to camoflage!

The gills under the ribcage are great. It's such a smart design, with so much biology and sense incorporated while still looking so cool. Double eyelids, a detailed muscle system.. the feet and hands, everything looks so well researched and considered. Have you painted this guy yet? Do you have any idea how tempting it is to try and convince you to take this design to the 3D printer team in mech engr?

Heheh, yeah... I think I'd probably get sued for more money than I possess if I tried claiming the design. I just had fun with the details.
I really do need to get into 3d texture painting, as it is a weakness at the moment. I tend to avoid it, beyond painting masks for shaders.
There are a few small parts I'd have to clean up before the 3d printer could actually use the model... (all objects have to be manifold, etc etc.) Eyelids, eyes, and the bases of the head tentacles, primarily. Any parts where the mesh passes through itself, or is left open. But yes, he should definitely be 3d printable.
Much more exciting than the leaky bottle rocket we printed on our dept.'s printer
