Very rhough shadings and strong depth impression, but that fits to the scene. It's very close to the original, but I think you made more out of it. In your image the mood is more mystical and stunning. The hair and her face look very sharp and create a nice contrast to the soft and more blurry shapes of her dress and of the backround. I like the fact that you emphazised especially her eyes, that now seem to look into the sky - like they're searching for something, maybe 4 something that's threatening. It's just amazing how you control the transition of "simple and blurry" parts to detailed and exactly worked out ones. Can't figure out something negative on that one.

nice perspective, i really like the colors, it almost looks like it was done in oil pastels or something, anyway beautiful, i like art when it is not always perfect ppl being drawn but just normal looking ppl although she is beautiful she has more of a down to earth feel to her anyway yeah very nice!!!

Great job on the detail of the face. It has a really good oil-painting-look. And I think the background you gave her really goes well with the title.
If I could give some constructive criticism though, I think you could've given her shirt the same level of detail you gave her face. But then again, since you're focusing on the 'daydream' thing, it does make sense to focus specifically on her head and face. So...nevermind then.

wow, them event files are cool. had to dload the opencanvas shareware to see it, but it was well worth hunting that down. looks like you work very similar to the way that i do when i digital paint, except i use Painter7.
i love this piece too. all of your work really. nice feel and look to everything you do, imo.
keep up the good work!

that angle you chose is interesting, usually you only see portraits from the side or the front...one from down below I haven't seen yet (doesn't mean there aren't any *s*).
It also looks more like oil painting to me than something that came into existence on a computer *s*

Oh..very good! It's a very cool angle, and I like the "magical" night colours.
I've downloaded the zip file for this, and the one for Into The Void. I just have to see if I can make OpenCanvas to work first, but I'll try to check it out..
