wow, thanks for the tutorial,can't wait for part two (unless I've missed it while looking through your gallery) its really simple yet even for one as unartistically inclined as I, I can make an awsome looking planet (even if it isn't quite complete) Thanks

And? The star field technique I learned in Digital Illustration class and how I make planets was learned through my own trial and error. The tutorial format is my own creation.

I just thought you might be interested that's all. sheesh - I wasn't accusing you of anything, I just found the tutorial really helpful and useful, i thought it mighta been of interest to you in pickin' up some extra ideas or techniques. man.. talk about over-defensive. :\

Sorry. I didn't mean to come off so grouchy. I had two root canals and some minor dental surgery yesterday and was in a lot of pain and just grumpy in general. I looked at that site again today and it is pretty cool. Thanks for pointing me to it. : )

BTW, I liked your gallery.

hey.. no worries... - after two root canals I'd forgive anyone of being a little on the touchy side lol! I'm glad you liked the site anyway, I think the guy does some amaaaazin' photoshop stuff ^_^ - and thanks for checkin' out my gallery - hope your mouth heals up fine

It's a nice easy approach to making a planet. I love the technique for the star field. I usually just put white dots all over.. You taught me something.

Very nice so far !
It seems to highlight the easiest route to great results, which should be appreciated a lot by all kinds of aspiring artists out there.
(I better not include myself in that... I know my limits)

Thanks. This tutorial is the result of trial and error. It is I have found the easiest way to make planets and seems to work quite well.
