Description
Elijah Wood and Sean Astin as Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee, from Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings. This one is an oldie, drawn back in 2014, but one of my favourites in my portfolio.This piece is 5x7 inches, done with prismacolor pencils on Strathmore 140-lb mixed media paper. It took me approximately six hours to complete.

Not usually; I normally prefer to work big. But this one was a happy exception to the rule. Working so small helped to get it done so quickly, as well.

Working on the toned paper has helped me work smaller. And each shot I choose moves me out of my comfort zone just a little more. I love working large myself. Glad you worked smaller and got this one done quickly so I got to see it sooner
