The title certainly suits this piece very well. What makes this piece stand out the most are the three hearts, each one more broken than the one before it. Simple in concept, but executed quite nicely in this piece. The sunset also adds a lot of color to this piece, even though the backdrop is a bit blurred and dusty.
The placement of the hearts slightly to the left make this piece stand-out a bit more. I do not believe this piece would have the same affect if the hearts were centered.
Overall this is lovely piece, that expresses heartbreak in a very visual way.
