I woke from a sound sleep and quickly scribbled the beginnings of Big Bad in my sketch book. I can't remember the dream out of which it crawled, but the image stuck with me. The dark forest. The menacing figure, almost comical if not for that damned knife. I love the faerie tale feel of this one, broken by its dark edge and how the figure is made all the more menacing because it is so obviously a man in a costume. The big bad wolf has gotten a bad rap when the most dangerous animal is always man. I'm not sure where the owl came from. Maybe the wolf thing represents my more primal and dangerous nature while the owl represents that small bit of intellect keeping it in check. I don't know. Maybe that's a load of crap.

I really like the effect you achieved with the ink. the watery look is very appealing because of the vast amount of black. It makes the single color interesting. good job!

I love the concept and the rough edges you gave the man it really gives him a monstrous vibe and also the slight but noticible contrast between the owl and the man also is pretty fascinating to observe cause where as the the man seems to be evil and made up of dark colors whilst the the owl appears to the lighest thing amongst all creatures in your forest.One more thing to add,I like the small white scratches in everything cause it gives a sort of dream/nightmarish feel(kinda what some of the samurai jack episodes did) whilst not touching the chracters hence bringing emphasis tot them,very professional!!Great work dude!!!

Nicely done! The trees, shadow, the rays suggested by the lines on those trees..simple and clean...a bit less white line on the ground may create more interest to the centre though...and the top left corner appears to be a bad scan; the black turn to grey there..
