Description
Emperor Doel from Legend of Dragoon. The more I thought about it the more he seemed a tragic character in the story; evil sure but it came as a cost for some great need. He is interesting to be sure.I tinkered with the coloring a in few ways and it turned out okay; in any case I wanted to upload something new. Enjoy.

My only criticism is that the Emperor's Dragoon Armour was a Darker Shade of Purple than Haschel's Lavender Version.
The Emperor had more of a Deep Purple Dragoon Armour.

Doel, quite possibly the most underused character with great potential in LoD...sure, he did bad things but he did them for the good of the kingdom rather than personal power from what the game would have us believe, and this is not contested in-canon either. Albert's father was apparently weak and a bad ruler, so Doel removed him from power so he could utilize it himself. Now, if only Doel could not put up with his soldiers being jerks and be a more active leader he would be set...
Amazing artwork, by the way! The style you use in these pictures is quite fresh and nice, not being the common and regular style that just about everyone else uses for their fanwork. I hope you keep up the great work!

In the end, I think we all understand that he let himself become corrupt because he thought it was necessary. He thought he was doing what was right, and for a leader, determining the right course of action can be difficult because it's not all roses (no pun intended). He realized what he had done was wrong, and that's enough for me.
Great job portraying him! He looks rather heroic here.
