Some people just don't like change. Some people just don't like anime. But for this particular situation, I blame Powerpuff Girls Z. My understanding is that the fans of the original PPG mostly did not care for PPGZ. I only watched two episodes, but it seemed fine for what it was. I didn't get into it, but I didn't openly hate it either.
