Description
This is an old pic that I went back to and add some shading to it.This is my Egyptian fox character Benu with her illusion, fire bird. She like to use a lot of fire spells. She has no thumbs and uses telekinesis to hold certain items. She is an adult. She does eventually get taken out of her time period/dimension when she runs into my other characters that are part of an organization that tries to keep peace between dimensions.
This fox is base off of the Fennec Fox which here is a website the shows what they look like [link] .
This was inked with Microns first and then colored in Photoshop.

I love this illustration so much! You did a really great job with the shading and details. Did you line the fire bird in red ink, or recolour the lines in Photoshop? It's a nice touch to the drawing, making the bird stand out and look visually more like an "illusion" as you said in the description. Nice work!

The fire bird I did ink in with black pen on a different sheet of paper. Then I change the colors of it in photoshop and added into the main drawing.

See...this is great...that light actually feels warm and that forest cool, but favour your noncoloured pen and inks more! Then again, you know me, I have a thing for ink.

I love the shading in this picture! Really nice stippling used for the Fennec's cloak, and the fur detail makes me want to stroke her. The use of light for the fire bird really makes it stand out in the night. Overall, it reminds me of the kind of illustration I'd see in a children's book, and that's a compliment!
