I started this in January but lost my steam after I moved to a new place.

Such an awesome piece. If I had to identify something of artistic value (being a noob), I can definitely say the S-shaped composure is really cool with the flayed parts of her lower half showing purple and red!

thanks samlivi. Did you know I started this thing as a doodle? I was painting a girls face just for fun and then decided to extend it to the bottom of her body. Later I thought of a pretty wicked idea ( sushi mermaid). The composition is centered because there was little planning to this. Β Thanks for your thoughts

hmm. It's hard to say because I had a big pause in the middle. Maybe like 4 hours before the pause and then 10 hours after? 14-16 hours split over 5 separate days? That's a rough estimate...

I know I'm late, but congrats on the DD! Thought I would comment anyway - I just really like the concept of this and I love how you painted those slices of raw meat folding over each other. Also, you are so good with backgrounds, Caro - love the sushi and just the entire environment.
