Very nice! Randall is one of my all-time favorite characters, too. I absolutely love this guy, and you did a good job here. I really hope that Pixar will give him a second chance, but seeing as how "Monsers, Inc. 2" is supposed to be a prequel, I am not holding my breath. Pixar doesn't believe in redemption or in characters having more than one side to them.

If it IS a prequel, I think the only excuse for Randall not being in it would be the fact that he wasn't hired at the time. And c'mon, it may not be centered on Randall, but give it a chance. They might show how Randall became who he was.
If not, I can only assume it was jealousy that grew.

It is supposed to take place BEFORE any of them were hired, when they were all in college, as if it would even make sense for them all(with different accents from different parts of the country)to have gone to the same college at the same time. I'm pretty sure Randall is in it, because a blogger who said he'd seen the prequel(or part of it, at least)blogged that he was glad to see Mike and Sulley again, the added, "you too, Randall".
The problem with showing how Randall's jealousy of Sulley and Mike grew is that it's rather pointless without resolving the issue, and knowing that Randall wound up being tossed into a part of the Human World where "gators" are butchered, skinned and eaten, like a piece of garbage, does NOT resolve things. Unless "Monsters, Inc. 2" has some sort of flash-back from past to present, it basically ends with Mike and Sulley as vigilante lynchers and Randall quite possibly dead.

I don't think they'd kill off a character like that. That's up for the fans to decide whether or not he lived or found redemption. It's what fanart and fan fiction is for! XD Dwelling of what happened in the supposed 'canon' never did any good, write or draw something that shows how he escaped, or found forgiveness or something!
With that said, I'll admit that Pixar had become slightly less harsh with how their villains get served, generally leaving a possibility for the villain to get out of it. I mean, Sid from Toy Story seems to be doing great, now, considering minor Toy Story 3 events...! ;D

Hopefully P.I.X.A.R will make a sequel to Monsters, Inc, and it will be focused on Randall's redemption, first time they have a villain get redeemed!

Well, If the movie IS a prequel then here is obviously no hope in redemption for him sadly, but you never know, it could just be a big rumor unless there is Pixar confirmation that I have yet to see. But if it is a prequel then I hope that they show Randall "becoming" a vilian, rather than him already be one, that would be more intresting in that part.

I remember opening the McDonalds Toy before we went to see the movie. I held the character in my hand and just stared and said, "This is my favorite character." Even after finding out he was 'evil' during the movie - I didn't care, and he's still amazing!
