Being a Lightfinder, Themis is often called upon to turn off the lights before the crack of dawn, or turn on the lights when the sun sets. It's a minor job that she performs almost mindlessly since she was born with a natural affinity for magic.

Crafter
As a Seraph, she has gained the ability to manufacture Moonstones. Usually she works with the stones created naturally by her own body. These stones can heal minor injuries and shine brightly enough to ward off Jintaci. Members of the AoA who know of her may come to her for some of her wares, though Themis likes to keep this occupation more secretive. She's very fickle about who she takes commissions from.

Cranky Medic
The title is self-explanatory, I believe. She mainly takes care of minor things that usually pertain to children, but she will occasionally get the local idiot from the bar who threw out a few too many insults. She doesn't meet many soldiers because they all reside in Baelthi, but when they do come over to Eilshor, she's first to help out when they get injured.

► Personality:
Themis is usually a very refined person, walking with her head held high. She's easily irritable though, especially by recklessness or troublemakers. There are quite a few things that she won't tolerate, especially in her city. She also dislikes big messes. She enjoys white, but hates it's tendency to get dirty, which means that she hates dirt in general. Despite her need for cleanliness and niceties, she doesn't follow that rule when it comes to her mouth. Having been trained in the army for a certain amount of time, she has gained the soldier's reputation to swear often when angered.

She is also the first child of the renowned Braegan family, so she's learned to deal with children. Despite not wanting any of her own, she works well with little kids, and can display great patience, though she's not nearly as efficient at this when it comes to adults. Having many younger siblings and a sick, but sharp mouthed mother, Themis has learned to be quick when it comes to her words, occasionally leading her to say something she'll regret when in a temper.

Despite being a part of the Avengers of Amatae, she's not blinded by hatred for the Arkeneans. Themis, thanks to her father, has learned to seek truth above all. He taught her patience and tolerance, something that her aunt, bless her soul, had little of. If she doesn't know someone, she doesn't judge based on race. She will put her feelings aside for a moment, though this is difficult to do if someone is being intolerable. She isn't immune to bias, but she tries her best.

Her father was a scholar, brave and intelligent. He would speak and his voice would be heard. They were both Lightfinders, glowing brightly in their own right. Together, they raised a large family, despite her mother's delicate condition. Being the first born, this meant that Themis had to mature quickly and act maturely, especially since she was in such a prestigious family.

Even as a baby, Themis displayed great magical powers. When she cried or threw a tantrum, the lights would flicker and sometimes even break. Her parents realized that they had to train her, but neither had the time, nor ability. This is where she met her greatest role model: her aunt. Unlike her mother, her darling aunt was a strong woman, with a bulkier stature and a personality to match. She was a member of the King's Army, which was a great honor. She wasn't great with magic like her sister, but she knew many skilled mentors. Taking Themis under her wing, she gave her numerous opportunities to hone her skills.

Life was good, for there were very few problems during those days. She never had to really use her powers on anything but test dummies and occasionally on some of the other soldiers or warwitches. Then the Great Migration happened. She wished she could say that everyone had gotten along peacefully, but when two species were so different, it just didn't happen. Some days she had to go up and break up fights between the Tiadari and Arkeneans. It was tiring and sometimes, she just wished that she could quit. She didn't learn magic just to break up pitiful barfights and heal idiots who threw punches a bit to hard. She wanted to serve something greater, something that was poignant and valuable.

Themis got her chance once Amatae had discovered the rune of renewal. It was an incredible thing, a rune that could give back life to an entire world. She was ordered to use her skills to light up weapons and accessories for the soldiers. She didn't care that she wasn't going out on the front lines, she was happy with just being useful with her skills. What made her prouder was that her aunt was going to be one of the soldiers protecting Amatae. Themis threw herself into her work, creating the best items that she could. Her aunt gratefully wore all of her presents, even the gifts that weren't enchanted!

But then the greatest tragedy occurred. Not only had Themis lost her Queen, but she lost her aunt, who had fought desperately to protect everyone, who had been her greatest hero. She was heartbroken. She lost all her confidence in her craft. Why should she make anything for anyone when it wouldn't help them? When it couldn't save them? But eventually that sadness became rage. She wouldn't give up on crafting. She would become even more powerful as a seraph and as a crafter. She would help the survivors, the ones who her aunt had sacrificed her very life for. She would complete what the Queen had failed to do, and she would wipe out any raging Jintaci in her way, if necessary.

She moved to Eilshor to rediscover her inner light. She couldn't stay in Baelthi where rage would overtake her at the sight of the castle. Baelthi was a place of anger and she had to move away. Her father was most understanding. He had to take care of his wife, who fell under a greater sickness after the death of her dear sister, but he realized how much his daughter needed space. But before leaving, he told her to be tolerant, because despite how harsh her aunt was, she never hated because of a person's race. Themis took these words to heart before leaving. Now she can be seen by the shore, or sometimes by some children, playing in the light.

She can pluck out the gems that grow on her skin easily. They grow back in a couple of weeks.
Her aunt had wanted to get married and have children, but none would have her and she was barren. In her memory, Themis willingly plays with the children of Eilshor. She doesn't mind them since she hasn't had to live with them.
Though from a rich family, Themis would rather fend for herself. Regardless, her father often sends her money along with his letters. Themis stashes this away, sometimes finding a way to donate the money.
As a child, she never had many friends, liking magic more. This seems to have continued on into adulthood. Maybe things will change soon?
Her hair is a combination of actual hair and feathers. Instead of wings behind her ears, she molts. Before leaving the house, she combs extremely efficiently.
