I've never liked this pairing. Why? There are several reasons why.
It makes no sense, at least not with the common headcanon most people give Kopa. If he's around the same age as Nuka and was presumably Simba and Nala's firstborn before Kiara and Kion, how on earth could he have been friends with or in love with Vitani? Zira clearly stated in TLK2 that Kovu was the last born before she and the other Outsiders were exiled, and Vitani is clearly the same age as Kovu which puts them at around the same age as Kiara. Most fans seem to utilize the "Kopa is firstborn" storyline make him her older brother. So you want me to believe that Kopa was in love with an infant? Yeah, that makes total sense.
Vitani wouldn't be in love with Kopa. It just seems out of character for her. Vitani is a rough and tumble tomboy and Kopa...well, he whines, asks for stories and is apparently dumb enough to think that a family tree is an ACTUAL tree. I think she'd more likely try to attack him than be pals with him.
Most Kopa x Vitani pictures make Vitani so OOC that it isn't even funny. She becomes this sweet and cutesy Princess Kiara wannabe and is so nice and friendly and loves Kopa so much...ugh, it's almost nauseating.
Have I mentioned that Kopa is bland?
And last but not least, there's also the fact that most KopaTani fans make Vitani Scar's daughter, which would make her Kopa's first cousin once removed. This means that these shippers support INCEST. That's...just...WRONG.
Tl;Dr, I don't like this pairing. Never have, never will.
