“Steve, Steve, Steve!” You called excitedly as you ran towards the super soldier. Steve looked at you curiously, wondering what you wanted. “We need to educate you in Disney movies! Come on!” You exclaimed before grabbing his hand and pulling him into the living room on one of Stark Tower’s many floors. Steve’s cheeks turned a delicate pink as you ran along; he had developed feelings for you and it made him extremely self-conscious whenever he was around you.

You see, you were close friends with Natasha, and after she joined the Avengers, she told Fury how you were pretty skilled in combat. This had led to you joining the Avengers, moving into Stark Tower, and meeting Steve. You and Steve had gotten really close, and it was not too long after that that you realized you were falling for him.

You liked everything about him; his sandy blonde hair and his eyes that you could drown in, to his sweet personality and how kind he was to everyone. They just didn’t make men like him anymore, he was the nicest man you had ever had met, and it wasn’t really a surprise to yourself that you liked him.

The problem with liking someone though, is that you never know for sure if they like you back unless if you ask them, but you couldn’t do that. That was the real flaw with you being friends with Steve, if you told him that you liked him and he didn’t like you back, your friendship would be over.

“Which do you want to watch?” You asked Steve, holding up three DVD cases. You had chosen Peter Pan, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and Anastasia (even though it technically wasn’t a Disney movie). Steve pointed to Peter Pan, recalling that he had read a book of the same name a long, long time ago. You popped the DVD into the DVD player, grabbed the remote, and hopped on the couch next to Steve.

Many hours later, and you and Steve had watched Peter Pan, Return to Neverland (after you rented it from Netflix), Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and you were about halfway through Anastasia and you were exhausted. You and Steve had started watching movies when it was just starting to get dark, and it was now getting into the early hours of the morning.

You yawned, curling into Steve’s side and nuzzling your head into the crook of Steve’s neck. A sleepy Steve was a braver Steve, and his arm snaked around your middle, pulling you partially onto his lap.

“Night Steve.” You mumbled softly, your breath tickling Steve’s neck and sending chills down his spine.

“Night __y/n__.” Steve whispered back, his hands tightening their grip on you so you wouldn’t fall off in your sleep.

When you woke up the next morning, you were surprised to find yourself in Steve’s arms, your bodies tangled together on the small couch. Your head was on his chest, and you could hear his heart beating steadily, and after a moment, you drifted back into unconsciousness.

Steve woke up a few hours later and glanced down at your sleeping form, a timid smile gracing his lips. Your arms were wrapped tightly around him, your head nuzzled into his chest. His hand started stroking your hair, the scent of your fruity shampoo filling his nose. With a quick check to make sure that you were still sleeping, he buried his nose into your hair, inhaling your scent. Not a moment later, Steve fell asleep once more, his nose still burrowed in your hair.

You woke up for the second time, and were surprised to find that Steve’s head was nestled against your own, his breath fanning your neck and making you shiver. Your body unconsciously wiggled closer to his, relishing in the heat he put off.

Steve awoke with a start when he felt something nudging against him, gazing down to see you awake and smiling up at him sheepishly.

“Sorry, I was cold.” Steve didn’t respond, just smiled softly at you and wrapped his arms even tighter around you, before pulling you on top of him. You blushed and looked down at him in surprise, feeling his lean muscles underneath you. Steve’s hand tugged a blanket down from the top of the couch and pulled it down over the both of you, enveloping you in warmth.

You sighed in contentment, your body molding against Steve’s as you relaxed. Your face ended up right next to Steve’s, and as you looked at him, his blue eyes locked with yours. You weren’t sure who started it, but the next thing you knew, his soft, warm lips were pressed against yours.

The air felt charged with electricity as your lips pressed back against his own, your heart hammering wildly in your chest. You retracted your lips when you absolutely needed to breathe, gazing down at him lovingly.

“You know Mr. Super Soldier, I think I might just be in love with you.” You said thoughtfully. Steve’s eyes widened, before a large grin spread across his face.

“I think I love you too __y/n__.” You smiled at him, before pressing your lips to his once more.

You didn’t think you had ever been more thankful to a few Disney movies.
